Branding for Realtor’s new design system
Art Direction, 3D Illustration — 2023To celebrate the launch of Haven, Realtor.com’s new design system, I collaborated with the design systems team to create a series of illustrations. These illustrations were used in various branding efforts for the new design system, including a sticker sheet distributed to the company’s design and engineering teams.

Art Direction
To determine the project’s visual direction, we explored the following:
Realtor’s product offerings: what types of properties are listed on the marketplace? What themes are visited frequently in Realtor’s branding?
The process of building the design system: what went into creating it? What pieces make up the full system?
The ethos behind the design system effort: what drives the team?
We also brought in brand assets like Realtor’s color palette and typography at this stage, so we could include those in the brainstorming.
After interviewing key stakeholders, we created an initial mindmap to review as a team. Then, we took the mindmap a step further by brainstorming specific visual ideas that could represent the key themes. Those translated into final concepts that we decided to move forward with.
