Castro Valley Sanitary District Fence Wrap
Illustration, print design • 2019
A decorative fence wrap for Castro Valley Sanitary District. The fence wrap serves two purposes: to beautify the construction fence plus advertise the environmental services agency (and their 80th anniversary).
The wrap is printed 25 feet long by 8 feet tall, and features two sanitary workers engaged in some of their typical activities (sewer maintenance via manholes and traffic control). My design goal with this project was to highlight a bit of what CVSan employees do and are recognized frequently for in the community, so that viewers can make the mental connection. The lot that the fence surrounds is a vacant, nondescript area that will potentially become a future site for CVSan, so I designed it also with the intention of making it clear how CVSan owns the property and will eventually start to develop it.
