City of Hayward Public Library Card Design

A design I developed for City of Hayward’s new 21st century library and learning center! The design was printed on library cards and keytags as one of four options that community members could select as their personal card.
The prompt for the card design, as given by the City, was “What do you love about Hayward?” My first year as a Hayward resident I spent volunteering at the library with the after school homework help program, where I found my love for working with kids and also the diversity that Hayward is known for (Hayward is, after all, credited as the third most diverse city in California!). My design is a playful interpretation of those experiences I had and hold valuable from my time in Hayward.
